Early Career
She began modeling while she was in her teens. Following her participation in multiple modeling and fashion events, she was subsequently pointed towards the pageant.
Sandhu then competed in pageants, winning titles such as Miss Chandigarh 2017 and Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018. After being crowned Femina Miss India Punjab 2019, Sandhu competed in Femina Miss India, placing in the Top 12.
The title of Miss Max Emerging Star India was awarded to Harnaaz Sandhu in 2018. Infiniti Mall in Malad, Mumbai hosted the grand finals of Max Emerging Star 2018. Journey to Miss Diva 2021
In 2019, Harnaaz Sandhu participated in the Femina Miss India pageant. Having competed with 29 other candidates from across the country, she placed in the Top 12. The contest took place inside the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai, India.
Sandhu was chosen as one of the Top 50 semifinalists of Miss Diva 2021 on 16 August 2021. Several days later, on 23 August, she was announced as one of the Top 20 finalists competing in the televised Miss Diva competition. She said the following in the opening statement round of the Miss Diva 2021 contest during the grand finale:

As a finalist for Miss Beach Body, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Talented, Sandhu won the Miss Beautiful Skin award during the preliminary competition on 22 September.
