Early Life

Elon Musk was born on 28 June 1971 in Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa. His father Errol Musk was a South African Engineer, pilot, and sailor, his mother Maye Musk was a model and dietitian from Regina, Canada. Musk has a younger brother (Kimbal Musk) and a younger sister(Tosca Musk). His Parents Got Divorced when he was just 10.

Musk was an avid reader during his childhood. When Musk was 10, He developed an interest in computers. He taught himself programming and created a game called Blastar, and by the age of 12, he sold it to a magazine called PC and Office Technology, for Approx. $500.

At the age of 17, in 1989, he moved to Canada to attend Queen’s University and avoid mandatory service in the South Africa military.
